For football players at Gallaudet University, the only university for students who are deaf and hard of hearing with a NCAA football program, the game is played on an uneven field. The AT&T 5G Helmet sought to change that, allowing coaches to call in plays from the sidelines using an augmented reality display and powerful 5G connection.
While the innovative initiative was spearheaded by AT&T and agency Translation, our team at Critical Mass launched an accompanying digital takeover campaign on some of the biggest publications in athletics, getting the story and the innovation in front of sports fans everywhere.
